Vegeta lost a bet with Bulma and thus had to dress up for I-CON 26! That must have been one hell of a bet....
Bulma picked out their Firefly costumes.... Vegeta as Captain Malcolm Reynolds of the good ship, Serenity. Bulma chose to dress as Inara Serra (is that spelt right?). Apparently Vegeta needed platform boots to get that sort of height over Bulma, but he doesn't seem to be complaining much about his costume. He does question why Bulma would chose Inara over Kaylee, who happens to be a wiz with machines like herself. Kaylee probably would have suited her better.
The background is a picture from last year's ICON25. Once I edited out Captain Planet, it all worked out rather well. ^.^
It does not take long however for Vegeta to put two and two together and figure out her ulterior motives... What a smart boy!
P.S. To satify my perfectionism with translation, even though there is no point in mentioning it what with most of you not speaking Japanese anyway..... I know the translation of the Japanese is a little screwy with Vegeta, but I liked the feeling of this better than the actual translation...
Speaking of translation.... I got the inspiration for this fanart partly from a Japanese Vegeta and Bulma fanart website. The drawings are great and the humor is great for mature teenagers and adults.

I liked the comics so much I actually wrote to see if they would let me translate them into English so that more fans could appreciate it. I haven't heard back yet... Probably won't. After sending the letter, I noticed a first year's error in my writing, not a good impression to make when you are asking to translate for someone >.< I was a bit nervous to say the least writing the thing. Anyway, It was a long shot, but hey. I tried. ^.^
