I've been meaning to do a new picture of Aeris ever since I posted that l one of her in her KH2 outfit (which I hated & can now finally scrap). This was a lot of fun to do, and rather quick, too. The flowers were the most fun part -- for the botanists in the audience, they're tulips, zinnias, cineraria & lilacs. Most of the detail on the plants were lost when I re-sized everything, but I'm too lazy to post close-ups.

Very nicepic, I especially like the flowers, hair and pose; chin/neckness looks a little out, but not enough to detract from the pic.
A nice peice of work, the world needs more Aries.
And no I haven't been to sleep yet... probobly should though, but glad I saw this pic first.

Very nice picture composition and idea. The color scheme works great with it and really makes it vibrant.

You should do more Tifa pics. It may sound mean, but I think Aeris is a waste of time (I never liked her). However, you did the picture rather well -- especially the flowers. If you don't mind a little critique, I noticed her hair line is flat. It ought to be more round like a person's head. Either way, I'm nowhere near this good with drawing so I stick with poetry, lol.
(P.S. Please do a Tifa pic. Maybe one where she's in Cloud's memories when they're in the Lifestream... I think that would look great coming from you.)

I happen to like both Tifa and Aeris and would suggest that if you "think Aeris is a waste of time," you simply shouldn't bother looking at pictures of her. At the very least you should keep that part of your opinion to yourself -- after all, you're commenting on a picture of Aeris so clearly I, the artist, don't think she's a waste. Rather, that comment is a waste of my time. However, I do always appreciate constructive criticism, so thank you for those parts of your comments.
As for drawing Tifa, I certainly will some time in the future as she's one of my favorites. Still, I'm getting the feeling that I should point out that I don't take requests.

Even if you don't take requests, at least consider the ideas. Maybe use them for something else.
As for opinions, I've always been willing to state mine, even if others don't agree with it. For Aeris, the main reason I hated her was because in game she never played a big of role (beyond summoning Holy) where the characters are concerned. Her place in the story was set, but she didn't have a strong interaction with the other characters and even though FFVII is my favorite of the series, I think it was poor scripting about how she was still with them (figuratively) towards the end of the game. Even Advent Children only pushed that aspect because there was such a large fanbase that believed her to be so significant to Cloud. So even if others don't agree with my opinions, I do have them for strong reasons and I freely share them. That's no different than how I encourage other's opinions even if I don't agree.
For my end, Aeris had a place in the story and it was popularity that blew it out of proportion, not good script-writing.
Also, I look at pictures for the artist's sake, not for the subject's. If I only wanted to see specific pictures, I wouldn't watch anybody. I'd just do a search for those pictures. I viewed your deviation to see what you came up with and to give feedback/opinions/critique/praise etc. So please don't be so defensive if I say something that you didn't necessarily like/agree with. I was simply showing another side of things.
I do agree that I shouldn't have said things like, "You shouldn't draw Aeris." To be more accurate, I should have simply said, "I'd like to see more Tifa." /rant

Aww this is so beautiful. I really love the soft, peachy colours you've chosen, they really suit her! Her position and expression seem really natural and gentle/pretty. Her hair is my favourite part, it looks so soft and texturised.
