There are a number of ways I come up with characters. Sometimes I have spot in a story that needs to be filled up, sometimes, someone wants to create a character for D&D, and I imbue it with life, and a story. Sometimes these personalities just come to me, and I say, "Wow, what a cool idea for a character."

Some of the most gratifying, and also rare, occurrences are those where the character begins simply as a drawing. Where instead of a character defining an appearance, you have an appearance that shows a new character, with all their own stories ready to be written. So it is with Adele.

I didn't pick the name Adele for any reasons other than I like it as a name, and I've been wanting to use it for a while, and felt it suited her.
