Hahaha, looks like my case is a bit similar to yours, in that I have Steve as my prime favorite and the others in rotation. But I'd say I emphasize on Steve more.
Imagine Coulson going all serious-agent over Tony for his...scribble. And adorkable Steve in a corner going, "how in the world did he do that?"
BTW, have you heard that Quicksilver and Scarlet witch are going to join the Avengers in the next film? I'm already picturing Steve as their protective grandad for some reason.Β

Oh, I can imagine that conversation. Coulson staying totally calm because he can edit Tony out of the picture (he might leave the heart in). Tony being all petulant like his usual 5-year old self and saying he'll invent something to get it off. And Steve showing his frown of disapproval though being secretly impressed.
I have seen the set photos of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. I am a bit worried how that'll affect team dynamics but I am looking forward to Steve's interaction with them

Quicksilver and his sister will definitely add some diversity to the group's abilities, because according to the director Joss Whedon he thought that the original team's abilities were all rather "punchy" and he wanted some variety. I'm theorizing that Steve will be close to them because he and the other avengers will be saving them from a HYDRA base. Plus their rather outrageous abilities will weird him out, being the old-fashioned guy he is, which will make for an interesting dynamic (while also making him act like a real granddad).Β
Knowing Tony, he will always say something wrong. It's in his nature.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. Yes, their abilities will be a great addition. "Punchy" is a great word, and it is so true. It is a lot of brute forceΒ hopefully pointed in the right direction. Though admittedly coupled with genius and strategy
I think you are right, Steve may take to them quite easily. Because he fights for those who are bullied and because, despite being the grandpa, I don't think there is a lot that can shock him ("An army. From outerspace." Totally unimpressed). Other than Thor, he may be the one with the least issues to allow people in and prove their worth. The others rather operate from the opposite perspective.
I can actually see Tony being quite protective of his newly adopted family and reluctant to allow the new kids to come in to play.
