Description

So, one thing that bugs me about female protagonists is that people complain about them being over sexualized or not feminine enough to be "called" female. In Samus cause, people complain about how her Zero Suit is nothing more than “fan serves” for male gamers and to that I say… why not? She wears a power suit, goes around shooting aliens that want her dead, and causes planets to explode. You know who else does that kind of stuff, Master Chief from Halo but he doesn’t get flack about that right? I actually like her in and out of her power suit; I just wish people would stop complaining about it.

A female hero can still kick some ass and still be attractive right, just look at some of gaming’s heroes. Yeah their dress in what could be called “skimpy”, but so what, male heroes are over muscular and people seem fine with that? If people would just calm down, then maybe it wouldn’t be a big deal.

I was completely fine with the Zero Suit until this most recent Smash Bros. They added high heels that serve as rocket boosters to the outfit, which is just completely for sexualization purposes. If Samus was a man, and he had a Zero Suit, he wouldn't wear high heels. The heels only exist for sexualization purposes and are there just because she is a woman. My other problem is that Samus isn't shown as the muscular woman she is supposed to be. She doesn't have muscles to the extent of Captain Falcon, but she has biceps and strong leg muscles as well. She did 13 years of extensive training with the Chozo, both with and without her power suit.

Males are made from a stereotype as well; I agree!

I support being pretty (inside and out) and being awesome!

But what's funny is that male stereotype characters like Captain Falcon don't get hated on, but characters like Samus get flack for being "sexualized". Really wish people would leave things like that alone.
