Description This started when I discovered *ahkahna on the front page, and fell in love with her shading. It's just brillant <3 this piece probably describes it best : [link] , go give her some love in case you missed her when you logged on today.

So it made me draw =o yeah, artists on the front page create artistic yearning, so the front page is good for you. I was going for her style obviously but it didn't work out so well XD I realized when I was halfway that what I was doing was too academic and added details here and there for texture. I like out it turned out, although it doesn't look like her style anymore but mine again, spare the contour line x) sorry, you won't see anything new today.

It's a bicorn because he has two horns instead of one I actually made up the creature a GOOD while ago on Elfwood (that's how long) and searched afterwards and realized it already existed, of course. I hadn't drawn one for a long time !
And look ! Hint of a background ! =O

I used a photo of a foal I took a few years ago for reference. I wanted folds in the skin and relief and he was all nice and muscular at the time ^^
I hope I didn't overdo the copyrights, I usually keep it discrete ><

An hour and a half straight run \o/

This is a common mistake, in European Mythology the Bicorn or Bycorne is often described as a 2 horned monster that is part-cow/part panther with a human-like face that is known for devouring Kind-Hearted & Devoted Husbands, it's counterpart is known as the Chichevanche which is often described as a Human-Faced cow monster that is said to devour Obedient/Faithful Wives, but Bicorn is also used in geometry to describe a rational quartic curve also known as the "Cocked Hat Curve", Bicorne is also the name of a curved 2 cornered European Hat made famous by Napoleon Bonaparte, and Bicorn is also used to describe a species of bird with a huge curved horn on the top of it's beak.

Now then if you are referring to a Unicorn with 2 Horns, than that is better known as the TWONICORN(pronounced as 2-nicorn).

Thank you for the insight !
But well, many words referring to fantasy creatures are "misused". Like the alicorn for example... I stopped fighting all the names I thought were mistakes from my point of view and let people be. There's no way to unify how the Internet calls these creatures because everybody is absolutely so sure they're right and others are wrong. In my fantasy world, a unicorn has one horn, a bicorn has two, an alicorn is a winged unicorn and I even have different varieties among each species.

That is very original and it looks sweet! One horn for healing, and the other for goring!

This is a really neat concept. I love hoe he is horse like nut...NOT...at the same time. It is also very nice too see some pure traditional art that is not digitally enhanced.!!!

Thank you !! I actually tend to enhance my work to compensate the loss of quality when scanned, but this one only underwent a few light adjustments ^^ is it that visible ? XD

PFf! You're already amazing with shading! The thing is, there's no one way to go about shading, I prefer soft shading, my husband prefers your style of shading where there are directional lines and gorgeous hatching. Everyone's style of shading tends to vary all depending upon the style in which they work. Y'know, what fits :3 I think this is just fantastic and I can't wait to see more!

You're so sweet thank you ^^ but I do like your way of shading and I'd love to be able to work in that style also !
I'll keep practising in whichever style comes to me and see what happens

Well done
