Well, I went to check Rainbow-Adoptables and BAM ponies.
Fucking ponies everywhere. There were more but I didn't include them.
This is what i hate about dA THOSE GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING PONIES!

I have nothing against people who likes to draw ponies but my biggest pet peeves is that almost all the pony fanart that I've seen are either a recolorers, tracers, and traced bases. You have no idea how many times I have to keep rejecting the bases, traced vectors, and recolors in my group despite that my rules clearly says that I don't allow them in yet they keep submitting them anyway. >_>
There's plenty of how to draw FIM ponies tutorials here in Devaintart and it doesn't require you to trace it off from the show. It's not really that difficult but it seems to me that others prefer to cheat their way through instead of drawing it out. Another reason why they don't draw them out is because that they're afraid that it's gonna come out terrible(of course it's gonna be terrible on your first try, you can't expect it to be perfect on the first try) and people will make fun of them, not to mention that if they don't draw it in FIM style, they won't get pageviews.
I rather see a badly made drawings of ponies than seeing a god awful traced recolor bases with little to no effort. I drew Scootaloo as an adult pony(not the porn kind) and mine barely get any faves or views because I don't draw it in FIM style. :\ While the traced vectors get a shit load of faves, comments and views which is bullshit.

Previous fad fan art has flooded in Deviantart before ponies came along. Anime, sparkle wolves(I still never understood what's so special about them to begin with or what made them so popular), Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario, Pokemon, Homestuck, Hetialia, Twilight, etc. It won't be long before that too will fade away and the next thing that will become a fad will flood of *insert new fandom* fanart that will repeat the annoying vicious cycle.
I should point that the MLP fandom is nothing more than a fad that became popular, thanks to 4Chan. When FIM first aired in 2010, none of them were interested and were turned off by it. It wasn't until 4Chan just had to use FIM as an annoying internet meme fad and next thing yuo knew, it became popular and everyone jump into the latest fad so they won't feel left out. It's like being in high school all over again if you don't follow the latest trend. How much you want to bet that none of them will stick around when the fad fades? None, they'll abandon ship and jump on to the next ship of the next popular fad fandom. Almost 80% of the Bronies don't even like the MLP franchise to begin with nor know any history of it.
