My favorite of the FF IV sketches, this one's of the grumpy old engineer, Cid. When I think of all the Cids in this series of games, HE's the one which fits the bill the most. (Sorry, XIII's bishi Cid does NOT cut it for me.)Related content

Yes indeed... when I think of what CID is in the FF universe, that one is the benchmark. I hate 13's Cid... he's a bishi! Cid is NOT a professor... he's NOT a foul-mouthed pilot... he's a cranky, old engineer!

The only Cid close enough is the FF7 Cid. Engineer and pilot. But only the FF4 one is THE Cid.

OMG, really?! That would be absolutely amazing. You are the coolest ever! It's so hard to meet someone NOT on the computer who truly appreciates Final Fantasy IV. I can't wait to see how you render Rydia and Rosa in your style. Don't forget Yang! FFIV for the DS truly changed my perception on Yang forever!

Yeah, Yang got some nice development on the DS version. Amazingly enough, when I did those sketches at FreeCon last week, I got a lot of recognition, believe it or not.
Guess IV is more loved than you think.!

Yeah! I wish these people would come into Gamestop and chat with me about it, instead of Naruto games or Call of Duty. Ugh! Most of the folks who come in are not really RPG fans.

FreeCon was at FSU student center last week.

There's also EXP con at the World Golf Village October 8-10 (www.expcon.org/) — I'll be at my gf's table, sketching while she sells her kanzashi goodness.

Yes, honestly, don't get into it. It will suck your life if you do let it. I love the game, but I actually have not been playing as much as I used to.
