Made this drawing with charcoal, pastels, & grey paper. =]

oh youll love this, and most people dont know,their making a 5th pirates of the Caribbean and its supposed to come out in 2017. was supposed to be this year and the it was supposed to be next year but to many delays. keep your eyes and ears peeled for it lol

Isn't it great? My favorite scene is Tonto on the ladder, on the moving train, and that one scene, where he tells the Lone Ranger, that what he was calling him meant 'Wrong brother.' xD

How do you draw the proportions?
I do my sketches on cheap copy paper. This allows me to erase and sketch all I want without fear of ruining good paper. I draw mostly freehand but when I need help with the placement of something, I use a ruler or straight edge to check measurments and angles. Then I take my sketch and transfer it to a good, clean piece of paper. (Once there is too much erasing on a paper, it makes blending more difficult for me, so thats why I do it this way.)

thanks, im trying realistic and im not that bad but im not good with detail because i proportion wrong somewhere and i don't have very nice erasers... i tried grids but its bothersome to erase lol thx for response ^^

Well maybe you could try gridding on some regular, cheap paper. Then trace your drawing onto nice paper. Then you won't have to erase those lines.

i'll try it, thx for the help ^^ just one more question though. how do you get thin white lines and details like that? when i try with the eraser i end up making a smudgy mess.

well I am working on grey paper here, so for the white parts I use either a sharpened white charcoal pencil or a white gel pen

Only thing I can say is try to make the nose seem rounder.
Otherwise, it's amazing!
