Thank you I only used 3 variations here and a spherical FXform, the other Xforms being all linear ones to create the tile.

Well, it is absolutely gorgeous! I use a Mac application for flames, called Oxidizer, and I have always wondered whether I could get it to do more of the kind of things that I see from Apo. Would you be willing to share with me the params for this so that I can try to recreate it in Oxidizer? If it's something you would be happy to do, please send a note, but absolutely no problem if you prefer not to!
