I present Kratos Aurion, I really like the way this turned out (well..I'm a bit iffy on a few things here and there but it was a learning experience for the most part so bleh.)This pic in particular was inspired by another piece of art of Yuri Lowell (link below), he looks really badass, *cough* and a kinda feminine, I loved the style of it, so I decided to go ahead and try emulating the look. ( which I kinda failed at, orz , my next challenge...Backgrounds

I don't know how people color things. I guess it depends on the software, but damn I wish I could at least color using digital mediums.

Thanks for commenting,ya know just about any sort of painting program would work nowadays, if you'd like to take a crack at coloring you could just go and download GIMP...(a free gimmicky version of Adobe Photoshop >_>) it's what I've been using lately.

But getting the little details like color around things, was horribly hard and looked a bit sloppy. And by the rate I was going it would've taken me a goddamn year to complete it.

Haha, I know what you mean about the year thing, when I first started with photoshop (when I had it ;__; ) my first thought was "What IS THIS?!".
The best thing to do is to duplicate the layer, pick the color you want and drop opacity down to around 20% and just color like a madman over the areas where the colors should go, once you've got the colors set do some clean-up and well, the shading and the sort you'll have to figure out yourself...

I actually like the white bg, it makes the details of your shading pop out so much better and the shading is very lovely. Lineart and proportions too..... everything is perfect!
