It projects great presence - feels almost like the creature is here with me. It is a bit frightening, but I also see wisdom, and perhaps compassion. I think the upright posture and downward gaze (and lack of a ferocious snarling, jagged tooth, fire breathing mouth) lead me to anthropomorphize a bit, which I believe was your intent. Or maybe you just felt the need to paint such a creature.
So, the light here is very good, sweeping from bright left to dark right through the full height of the image. The apparent location of the light source, beyond the top left corner, is consistently reflected with lighter tones and a few "dark" colors to the left, neutral tones and a bit more color in the middle, and darker tones and shadows to the right. This shading is consistent across the individual features of the creature's face.
The softer lines and pastel colors support the overall effect of a kinder, gentler dragon-like creature.

Cool creature, I like the pastels. I watch Borodante sometimes, why is his page empty now?

Aha, I knew I had looked at his page before.
He's got a good personality for teaching.
