That's a matter of opinion, sorry you don't see it that way. While Twilight is a monstrosity of fluff with a number of obvious flaws, it is something I enjoy. Like with all things fictitious, it requires a strong imagination and imagination is no more bound by the author than it is by the reader.
And NO, I do not mean the sparkling vamps. I hold to a more Anne Rice concept of vampires. I do however enjoy Stephenie Meyer's lupus bigamous shifters. But, my point is it means whatever you WANT it to mean: selkies, merfolk, dragons, fairies,, elves, gnomes, goblins, orcs, imps,... *incessant rambling fades into obscurity*

Indeed. Rather unfortunate, really...
