Sketch of Pinkie Pie for 2008 MLP:FiM pitch bible. With wings, I had thought that Pinkie standard position would be upside down more often than not. It seems to me that she would think that was funny, and I liked the silly visual of her flying forward perpendicular to the ground.Related content

This is very interesting. If Pinkie Pie was a pegasus, she could defy gravity and do all sorts of silly stuff. She could probably do loopy loops, and all sorts of acrobatics. It is okay is it doesn't make it to the final show. It is still fun to imagine.

It would be neat, but both Pinkie and Fluttershy (Earth Pony) would have been weaker characters, due to this; strong, but not as strong of a character as the final.
Half of Pinkie's weird logic would be explained by the fact she has wings, and that's not as funny... though, if you ask me, I wouldn't care about that.
Regarding Fluttershy, she would just be that animal lover who's just shy... no fear of heights, anything.

If that were to be Surprise, then why does "Posey" have Fluttershy's cutie mark in some sketches, and "Firefly" with Rainbow Dash's old cutie mark, and so forth?
