I have a lot of catching up to do on dA, but while having a quick look at all the work I needed to catch up on, I noticed this set and I remember seeing a preview and loved it!

I also have to completely disagree with hawkeye - simple and standard gets boring. Any photographer can set out to take a standard photo and it's nice to look at but the novelty wears off. This is fresh. Including props and/or shooting in different locations or against different backdrops keeps things interesting.

This is stylish without being too busy. The balance of the colour palette is perfect. The shade and light play off one another well and I absolutely love the flow of the shapes and the composition.

Kudos.

What are you trying to say, mate?

I'm trying to say that you need to embrace new things and not just pigeon hole yourself into one specific style. I also don't understand how you can say that this image is "busy". It has a model as main focus of the image, with a set containing a chair, cupboard and a background. What's busy about it?

Aaaanyway. I don't know why I bother. It's like talking to a brick wall anyway.

No, it's not a hetero thing, it's a narrow-minded thing.

I prefer the term 'classicist'

No. Narrow-minded. Full of shit. Not willing to expand your point of view. Stubborn. Old. Outdated. Boring.

A little busy, maybe, but still great work.

A little busy? WTF are you going on about? You REALLY have to broaden your horizons as an artist, mate. Stop thinking within that conventional little bubble of yours and start exploring what art can REALLY be for you. Let go of all of those restrictions and constraints and start seeing things for what they can be. Come on!

I like the mix of the gren and grey, that adds to the classic pose ^^
