Description A stylish and simple start orb for Windows. I've created this one to replace the default in Start8 on windows 8 but it uses the same format as is used on windows 7 so it should be compatible with utilities there. The dark background when hovering and white colouring are clearly similar to the default orb in Start8, which I rather liked so thought hey lets start with those concepts as the basis for my own.

Edit: In the zip there is now an alternative version without the grey background in case you find that you either don't like it or it doesn't render well on your computer.

Much more symmetrical that the OblyTile logo but I see what you mean.
I guess there are only so many ways four equilateral tetragons can be arranged.

Looks weird on win7 because of the gray background.

Thanks for the feedback, I have no way of testing on Windows 7 so don't really know how well it looks over there. I just uploaded a new zip that includes an alternate version if you want to give that a try.

That was fast the background is now transparent but the orbs are now overlapping.

Also I uploaded a bitmap version, that may or may not work, separately in my scraps [link]

That's a bit peculiar and hard for me to diagnose. Are there any orbs with fully transparent backgrounds in png format that don't overlap for you? If you link to one that you know works I could check if there are any differences in formatting that may be causing the issue. Secondly what tool are you using to change the orb? It may have issues with transparent png orb or may be configured incorrectly. Sorry for the long reply and many questions but its the only way I can work out what's happening on your computer.

I canΒ΄t really figure why it wont work,I am using Orb changer v4 by Kishan Bagaria.
This[link] or this [link] for example are working just fine.

Did you try the bitmap version I left in my other (later) reply (available in my scraps here [link] ), it hopefully works properly, other than that I don't know what to try. Also Kishan has released version 5 of start orb changer (over here [link] ) which may fix the issue, best of luck.

I downloaded the new version but it still wonΒ΄t work and other version of your orb is in the wrong format.
