Description A red kite. There were half a dozen of them roaming above the road, so I stopped and took some shots.

They were gone a few minutes later, when the sun was covered by clouds and it became much darker, so I wasnt able to capture any really interesting manoeuvers, but they were still pretty close.

I think the patterns in the wings are really nice.

I really want more than those 300mm's

I only have 42mm's... -.-' If I had taken that picture, it would have looked like there was microbe on the lense or something

(that's my way of saying "wow that is a really great shot - I wish I was able to take some like this")

maybe you should consider buying some manual om-lenses and adapt them for your cam, they are pretty affordable and good in quality. only thing (if you have a chipped adapter, around 13 euros on ebay)is that aperture and focus are all manual, but the lenses are REALLY cheap to have and especially the original olympus ones are compact and great in quality! i inherited some from my great-uncle and thus use them sometimes, both the 135mm 2.8 and 50mm 1.4 are available for around 80€.

you often find offers like this: [link] (not my offer) + 13€ adapter would give you much more opportunity considering focal length. the 50mm 1.8 would also be nice for bad light situations...and bokeh

I think I'll come back to that with one or two questions some time when I have money...

thanks a lot but I wouldnt exactly call them lovely, there predators and each kills several rodents and birds per day. if you watch them for some time, that tends to give you a more ambivalent feeling. but beautiful and majestic they are indeed!
