Description I think I've posted the lineart of this one at my Patreon about months ago :I but finaly it's colored!

the idea for this little comic came from real life event - I was walking with my boyfriend across botanic garden when I saw a strange root at the pavement shaped like a chicken leg! I wanted to pick it up but then Gabe asked me 'what are you doing?' so I pointed at weird root and then he said "but... this IS a chicken leg". I freezed with my hand above my discovery and stepped away immediately. the truth is I'm kinda scared of dead things.

-I would be a worst witch ever...  - I said when we went away from abandoned chicken part.

so yeah, that's when I came up with idea for a vegan witch and don't ask me what chicken leg was doing at the pavement of botanic garden :I

Have you heard of the real-life vegan witch Maija Itkonen and vegan wizard Reeta Kivela? They developed a spell for transforming oats, yellow peas, and fava beans into the best pulled pork and now even meatballs and burgers. They even founded a company called Gold and Green Foods! you can find more info about Gold and Green at goldandgreenfoods.com .

Reportedly, the quality of vegan meats and milks are getting so good, the livestock industry is launching a witch hunt against vegan witches and wizards but to no avail, as their doom has already been sealed.

Oh man I love this, also like in a lot of old spells that call for these weird ingredients, the names are like descriptions of what flowers looked like a lot of the time.

Despite the fact those are actually codenames usually for plants, you know that everything you eat is dead, right? Anyway. Yeah, I know, too much information happen to kill many everyday jokes. Nice style, anyway. I really like the expresions, colors and the way you use those thick lines.

fun fact: toe of frog and such were usually just code or slang for a plant and its parts. for example the "tongue of a dog" could mean the root of st johns wart.

mishkomir [2016-09-13 02:52:10 +0000 UTC]

Actually interesting fac:, back in ye olden days, plants had corresponding animal names. Blood, claw, tooth, etc. were all specific PARTS of the plant that were used, such as the stem, sap, roots, etc.
So when you'd get a recipe calling for Horn of Goat, it essentially meant "This specific part from this specific plant"
That recipe was most likely vegan
