Description Super practice. I went traveling for a work conference and came back feeling a little burnt out. Decided to try Clip Studio Paint out instead of Krita. Made this.  I'm gonna leave this one as a full version on DA instead of just Patreon because I want feedback on it while I'm using the free trial for Clip Studio. Death to Krita? Pay for CSP? (Once I get fully used to Clip Studio of course; I'm not gonna do people's commissions right away in an unfamiliar program.)

Full Resolution, Sketches, Lineart, and Monthly Exclusive Art available on my Patreon! Commissions too through Patreon or DA! www.patreon.com/FudgeX02

Thanks. Getting a ton of comments on the shading, so I'm gonna assume the CSP brushes are an improvement.

Of course you can give feedback on skill. We can all tell if something looks skilled or not, regardless of personal skill. : P

Guess I should ask what a 5 is then so I can practice.

Do you know Jebriodo, Gettar82, Pokkuti...? These are the ones that produces a 5 almost all the times IMO, lol

FudgeX02 In reply to devmgf [2019-12-17 03:38:51 +0000 UTC]

lol Nvm then. 1 of those I don't want to copy because it's too different, the other is still too much better than me based on how people react, and the third is one that I think makes 2s waaaaaay more often than 4s or 5s.

Guess I should be asking "why" or "what" I need to improve more than "who" I should study. ^_^;

but it is a matter of taste in the end in a lot of aspects. About the technical part, I'll send you a note

nice work on the (slightly more) slender body type, I should look into CSP when time for it rolls around

It's not too expensive. It's $50 USD, nothing painful like Photoshop's yearly subscription of doom.

I don't know about art programs, but this looks really good. Funny how fitness for Ibuki is heavyweight bodybuilder sized for most people, huh?

FudgeX02 In reply to Shoobider [2019-12-15 07:58:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, the way I see it is that if people think this is good/not worse than the Krita stuff, I can switch safely. ^_^

This definitely isn't heavyweight or even bodybuilder category. It might be a small physique competitor at best. The bodybuilding category is massive compared to this  www.instagram.com/p/B2xW5wbB8Y…Also,  media.eventhubs.com/images/201… I don't think this is too different from how she's been portrayed. Street Fighter girls are always oddly jacked. xD

CSP is really good, it also made me switch from Photoshop.

The watercolor brushes alone are so nice to work with~

Each software has it's function ^^

FudgeX02 In reply to WickedWizz [2019-12-15 07:48:20 +0000 UTC]

Krita kinda feels like garbage compared to CSP. Krita has like 200 brush types, but none handle as well as the handful that CSP offers. I don't think I could've made this very easily in Krita just because of the differences in the toolset quality.

I like the shading a lot, and it looks a bit cleaner. Either way you produce great stuff. The muscle definition and shadowing technique here looks pretty cool to give a 3D appearance.

FudgeX02 In reply to sheldor73 [2019-12-15 08:23:22 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. ^_^ The shading's largely from CSP having more sensible brushes to work with. Krita's don't act as "realistically" as CSP's, like I have to play with more settings in Krita to get them to behave like a real airbrush or even just a basic marker. Nicer tools, years of practice, and support from my peeps. : P
