Description
In this scenario, the assassination of Charles of Durazzo in 1386 failed, and he continued to rule as King of Hungary, Croatia, and Naples. Charles later married Mary of Anjou, daughter of Louis I of Hungary, bringing the kingdom of Poland under his control. By 1388, Charles of Durazzo had enlarged Louis the Great’s empire, now forming a large eastern bloc administered largely by his Croatian and Neapolitan nobility and threatening the hegemony of the Empire and the pope in Rome.
