Edit: Made the size of his head larger;;Critiques on the BG would be greatly appreciated! It's my focus on improvement, and I know there's a lot of mistakes on the character ^^
Uwaah finally done...introducing my new OC, Henry! This took longer than I expected... ;;; So many unseen details haaah //laughs painfully/ I'm going to keep challenging myself with bgs until I get better at them *-* Also its fun
Even though they always turn out completely different from what you had in mind, I think that's part of what makes it enjoyable~ I want to try one with multiple characters but I don't have enough OCs... =w=" Tools: Clip Studio Paint

Even tho you've used pretty many and bright colors you've made it so it's relaxing for the eye! Which gives it a really comfortable and cozy feeling

From my very little studies about background designing, I just think maybe you could desaturate the background the farther it gets! Give it a try. I hope it turns out nicely. Other techniques include blurring it -- something like focus? (you can also get away with some lacking details in the background with this approach!) Also it would look really fun and interesting if there were more people (But hey, I know how tiring that is to do!)
But i really love the vibrant colours and the mood of the scene! I think you did a really great job with this and your efforts are not wasted! haha. Henry looks very interesting and blends really well with his green surroundings. I admire your patience with working on the background -- all the details! Lovely work!

Anatomy and adding more contrast to the shading are good points to practice more too

A lot of people do this, ALOT. Its the problem where the head is small so you cant see detail and the legs are too long, making the person tall.
If you want them to be tall, I recommend sizing everything to the right amount first.

I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but I feel like Henry's head is a bit too small for his body? Just keep in mind proportions. ( ' v ' )/ His body looks really well drawn though!
I love the scenery, so many minute details!! The flowers in the foreground look really nice and the tiled ground looks really cool!
