Don't step on the thin ice though, you might wet yourself.

I nearly wet myself just thinking about it!! I can't stand cold water!! The only place I've ever been where I could just walk into the water and swim was the Red Sea - it was like a warm bath!! We used to be able to walk across some of our hill lakes in the winter - that hasn't happened for a few years. Have you seen any Auroral activity recently? All we've seen is clouds.

This seems like the first year no skiing on that lake. Last year at this time it could carry an airplane. Must go to the woods before all snow is gone.Mainly clouds here too. I saw very faint green aurora a month back but because it looked so faint, I was busy doing other stuff and thought it wouldn't get any stronger I couldn't bother staring at it for longer. Then a couple days later I saw photos taken at neighbour town..

Its been the same here, so inconsistent. Had 20'c temperature swings within 24 hours - completely mad. The kids have had the odd days skiing on the mountain, but if its not thawing its been blowing 100kmph! We had the first slender beam of direct sun through one livingroom window this morning - HOORAY!! Its an annual milestone for us, we loose the direct sun for about three months over mid-winter. It feels like a turning point, Spring is around the corner. Shame about the aurora. I'm starting to forget what stars look like!! Damn clouds. :[
