I just recently bought "The art of kung fu panda 2" and was really interested in how Nicolas Marlet produced his sketches. I think I figured it out: this paper ( [link] ) col-erase pencils, black marker, warm gray prisma markers, and white paint pen (water based)Here is the result of my experiment- some kinda friendly witch lady
Man I need a new scanner... bleahhhh.

Nice man! I think your mostly right about the Nicolas Martlet work flow. Saw him due a small demo, and he used the col-erase pencil, a gray marker, a black pen and I think he uses white gouache as well. At least from what I could tell. Dude is frigging amazing!
