This is amazing...you managed to show his feelings towards Lily, yet there are still traces of his darker self. I especially like how there is both happiness & resignation in his expression.
(Funny. We know that young Snape was unkempt & awkward, yet I don't ever recall reading that he was supposed to be ugly. Don't know why people complain about making him look handsome.

He's... BEAUTIFUL! This is how he would look in real life! There's such a genuine spark in his eyes, and you really feel like you're Lily since she's the only one he would express himself to.
Can I also say that I'm jealous of your artistic skill? If I tried doing something like that, it'd take me, what, the rest of my life--and it still wouldn't look as amazing as this. XD

Ten en cuenta que se le ve a través de la mirada de Lily, que quería Snape, y cuando se quiere de verdad a alguien no puede parecernos feo o desgradable.
Si le hubiera pintado a través de los ojos de James, pues seguramente tendría que haberle dibujado parecido al feo de los hermanos Calatrava
