I hey are shields that detach. In this redesign, Batman has taken the tech from Prometheus's helmet to down load his fighting style into the suit. These electromagnetic shields levitate around his person analyzing threats, like a guy across the room with a gun, then move to intercept. As you may have noticed, I removed the cape in favor of more of a glider fabric like the movies. These also act in coordination with the glider and the pack on his back to allow limited flight. Lastly they are also equipped like the Falcon's Redwing in the Avengers Age of Ultron.
