Description
So this would be Cid, as seen in FFVII Advent Children. He is one of the few characters who managed to age backwards in the 2-year time-period. Maybe because he stopped smoking? The world may never know...Materials:

Oh.My.Gosh. *jaw drop* That is simply amazing....I was on google to get a picture for something I'm doing and i don't pay attention on google.....and it still caught my eye.....dude that is like CGI perfect.....I mean I can get some good shading going but mine is nothing compared to that.....finger + pencil = amazing results...I would know.

I didn't play FFVII but I saw the movie and fell in love with Cid...lol Anyways this is a great portrait!The lighting is perfect, and he looks HANDSOME in it.^^

Cid is magic, he has lived for centuries; thus is why he can age backwards, it was one of the abilities the Gods blessed him with when he was created before the universe! *random* Also, he seems very out of place to me without his cigarette...
Once again, you baffle my brain. You make an awsome piece that you only top with the next picture. How does this talent occur!? That is the question the world may never know.
Anyway... That sahding! Ahh! The shading! How do you do that, it's so astounding! It makes me smile.
If I had to pick out a few major parts that really caught my attention for detail, I'd have to say his neck, his goggles, and I'm assuming his staff (the thing in front of him)? His neck, I just love how realistic it seems, how it radiates a sort of power and strength that Cid is. His goggles are just marvelous; the shading, the detail, the everything. Brilliant. Obviously, once again, a piece that is brilliant and so great in many ways. I think once of the only ways you could stick more detail in there would be to start drawing his skin cells in and the threads of his clothes.

If you must know the secret to my shading, here it is: Pencil, and my finger. Really, that's all there is to it. No fancy stuff.
Oh, and the "staff" you mentioned is actually a spoke of the steering wheel of Cid's ship. Maybe I should mention that in my Artist's comments...
