Description Anyone who has been lucky enough to own a large set of Prismacolor markers has also likely encountered the frustration that is the Studio Stacker. It's near-impossible to assemble, and falls apart at the smallest movement. It is a waste of space.

...anyone wanna buy mine? ;D

Stay tuned for part two (or: why I don't need suggestions for a different way to store my pens!)

I hate the little stand, and I hate how you can't stack it at all on a raked art desk (the thing just falls over). When you try to grab a marker, the cap gets stuck in the stand as well...what a pain.

Then again I hate the markers too since they're nothing but expensive sharpies (and work just as well as sharpies).

It would be amusing to think that the colors you choose for this piece were randomly selected from the pile of markers after the latest collapse. Whatever your hand picks.

Oooooh, Lordy...now you've got me started:

"Liz was a girl with a cute little bod,
A cool prismacolour set she had got.
With its colour and styles, it was all just a trap,
for too late she realised that the stacker was crap!"

Than'kew!

The prisma colored pencil boxes aren't much better. The flimsy cardboard bends and tears.

I have the tins. The tins always come with the same set of colors that is missing ones I want. XC

EEEEEEEEEEEEE! HEHE!

Oddly enough today, I encountered the dreaded Expensive Marker Set Display stand-- I had to check a returned kit to ensure all parts were there, and I open it up and Im like "WTF IS THIS?? This must be the display stand Lindsay was talking about!" and I was completely confused by how someone at that company could even THINK that display stand was a good design.

Yeah, I pretty much have one set of 20 (the "stand" that comes with it actually works pretty well), and keep any additional ones that I buy in a little drawer.

Freshman15 In reply to packstrap [2008-12-05 03:43:46 +0000 UTC]

I'm sure it works better with fewer pens. Once you start stacking too many on top of each other, the whole system breaks down.

RadioactiveMongoose [2008-12-05 03:39:38 +0000 UTC]

... And THIS is why I use Copics!

I couldn't bare to use that awful little stand. It would collapse if I even THOUGHT about taking out a marker! If they're going to cost so much, they might as well come in a decent case!

You don't know how many times this has happened to me! I usually keep them in a pile after the thing falls over, too.
