Back on Cybertron, Soundwave used to turn into a cybertronian stealth jet, and since he has changed his alt mode, I think it’s the perfect time to learn a bit about cybertronian biology.

You see, cybertronians grow in pods where their mechanism starts to build itself, and when they come out they are known as sparklings. Sparklings are adopted when they’re in pod state, so they are born with a family, but those who aren’t either wait to be adopted or live in an orphanage.
The sparklings scan the things around them to register what they are and what they do, and they stop being sparklings when they fully develop their code and therefore consciense. All that is left for them is to scan something to be their alt mode. Those who don’t have alt modes are called protoforms, and while young protoforms are normal, they’re expected to get an alt mode sooner or later, as most cybertronians see it as the final stage of growth, so protoforms with an older age are quite rejected, specially since functionalism started being a thing in Cybertron.
If a cybertronian wants to change his alt-mode, they undergo a “T-Cog reset”. A T-Cog is the part of a cybertronian’s mechanism that allows their bodies to know how to transform into the object scanned. The more that is scanned of it, the more accurate the transformation will be. A T-Cog reset consists of the substitution of the existing transformation data to implement the new one. There are a few cybertronians who have managed to use two transformations at a time, who are known as triple changers.

So, I haven’t posted in a while because A) I didn’t know what to post, and B) It’s Holy Week (Like spring break but with religious marches) so I’m currently in my cousin’s house to stay with him until school comes back. I hope you like the drawing and my take on cybertronians.
