Description So I just did this really fast to add a story for Never and his bad/reluctant behavior.

The Story

Andrew Wyatt was a relatively short and edgy man. He had issues with anxiety most of his life, and rarely slept. Every morning, rain or shine, the 27 year old came to the barn in the young hours of the day and worked. Today was not much different, although the weather had been dark and dreary. Like always, Andrew was the first into the barn, listening to the soft breathing of the horses. He fed them and prepared for a full day of dressage training, seeing as the Golden Creek Ranch show was just weeks away.

Ian, the old trainer, was the second into the barn. He rustled with some paperwork and finally pulled the Nordanner special bridle and bit from the shelf. After wrapping it around his shoulders, the grey haired man leashed the dark liver chestnut horse to a post, as Andrew brushed him softly. Never eyed the red bridle uneasily, shifting his feet constantly. Ian snorted, laughing at the behavior.

"He really, really, hates that bit," Andrew spoke after the minutes of silence. He let out a deep chuckle and put the saddle on.

Ian nodded, waiting for the saddle to be fastened and finally moved quickly to put the bridle on. Never took it patiently, looking like he was put in jail, and let them lead him outside to the training arena.

"Wow," came a middle aged man's voice. "He's letting you do that?" Questioned Oliver Grey, the owner of the stables.

Almost as soon as he spoke, Never pulled his head up, pulling hard against the old mans skilled mans hands. He half-reared and bucked towards Andrew, who leaped out of the way.

"Dammit, Never," The shorter man spoke, brushing the dirt off his jeans. "Just once can we have a normal training day?"

A huge smile beamed across Ian's face at the other mans question. "At least he doesn't do this in public," he said, pulling the horse down roughly and slamming a whip on the ground. Never dropped his head almost instantly, and snorted aggressively.

"Yeah, public," the dressage rider said awkwardly as he noticed Elizibeth, the owner of Golden Creek Ranch, watching Never's antics and (to his dismay) Andrew's fall. The dark haired man sighed, giving a small smile and a light wave before starting to train. The thought of riding in competition in front of the woman he secretly liked, made Andrew's heart pound. Although he shook it off, and jumped onto the large dark stallion.

END

SO what we learn here is that Never is a jerk, and ANDREW HAS A CRUSH ON ELIZIBETH COVINGTON, the owner of Golden Creek Ranch. WOO.

That's a pretty cool bridle design. The color matches really well too.
