A magical pendant? Hmm 
Meina was actually going to give it to Nuray anyway, once he's become a Guardian and thus had a chance to see the world and meet people who might know something about it. So, Nuray is taking on the task his grandmother gave him.

Although Arindia is a magical world and magic is flowing through it's core and is basically everywhere, performing (real) magic is a rare skill as it is difficult to master for Guardian elves.
Meina was actually pretty lucky to have the pendant to increase her magical abilities and thus enabling her to become Karai's healer and magician
Most healers use their wide knowledge of herbs to create healing potions only. There's not much they can do except for supporting the natural healing process. Meina, however, was able to cast healing spells and thus healing wounds and some diseases immediately. A rather powerful ability in a society of fighters, indeed.

That's an interesting talisman if it has been allowing Meina to be able to cast magic. I'd say a higher being created it, or it came from a higher/magical being? My theories for now.

Loved the tidbit about Arindia being a magical world, but actual magic still being tricky. So there's a chance there's a native race who's proficient in magic compared to Guardian elves?
