Art Academy AND Deadly Premonition in one! It's a double play of things I intended to do more of!This is a picture idea I've had in my head for the longest time, of Zach trying to break free of the Red World as it drags him down. Of course, my own skills were a pretty big limiter in this one, as I'm nowhere near talented enough to see that what's in my head makes it to the page. *sigh* I fooled around in Art Academy Wii on this one, trying to, at the very least, get a cool look. I got something I'm kiiiind of happy with, though the eye and mouth look awfully out of place. Mostly because I was screwing around with all three different mediums AA offers and trying to find something I liked. Just... do not look too closely at whatever's happening to Zach's left arm. Just... don't.
Oh well. It was fun to mess around with!

I'm not familiar with the characters, but it does look cool! XD
And I have the same problem with both art and music; I have ideas, but I can't draw that well and I never really learned to play a non-horn instrument that well.

450x800 is the resolution of the Gamepad screen? And now I know.
The red vines were a nice Silent Hill-esque detail for when the world goes Dark.

It's probably 480x800 with a 30-pixel margin, since that's a standard size (WVGA) that's also used in a lot of older and low-end smartphones.

My original vision of the pic had York's hand reaching down as well, but I kind of liked it being solitary when I started sketching it for real.
