...i already explain at SIFU comments above....it's not the camera speed that
freeze the action...it's the tricks of lighting freeze the momment recorded at
dark area....commercial photography concept ....
The MANUAL focusing are target at fish.....not usuns infra-red sensor...
...thanks for visit my gallery...

WOWWOW !
How did you manage to fire the shutter please ?
Is it remote control with infra-red laser beam, pre-focused and maybe camera sitting on the water someway ?

Hi ~sifu,
Thanks for visit my gallery....
Oh....the speed is just 125 !!!! UN-EXPECTED ?
Here's the trick.....those water was freeze not from those 2000...or 3000
speed like some magazine mention on high-speed. I just use 125 old-skill
of make use lighting freeze the detail instead of using high speed shuttle.
Here i goes....i set a few studio-light using Snooze head cover on light.
Power generator was place by the Swamp river bank sand area for safety
on electricity.
The area was dark and have a lot such spieces birds tah walk around finding
food. After build a hidden place for me & my camera to hide....i use torch-light
tie to my extra Tripod to shine a spot that have fish....
This spot that i shine with torch-light attracted the birds came over bite thier
food !
....at this moment i just use f/125 for studio light fire from back 45 degree
angle while in front my hiding place have another fill-in low-power extra
soft box Elinchrome 300watt.
....simple teory of studio-light outdoor set-up that if in the darkness, ...f/125
already frezze the water and birds bite fish in action....
Hope my poor grammer explainiation above helps a lot's others and sharing.

Thanks for the long explanation! I love the idea of shining the torch on the water to direct the birds, very smart!
And don't worry about so-called poor grammar. What I love about your gallery is probably the writting as much as the photos, honestly, you project such enthusiasm - you obviously love taking photos and that is great to see!
I wonder if I can ask you some questions about your country? I am looking to do some traveling sometime very soon but the thing is I don't make a huge amount of money and so I'd like to go somewhere fairly cheap to get by but with great sights and of course great photo opportunities. As such I'm thinking about Asia, I know it's pretty cheap in places like Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia etc and I love the idea of ancient temples and jungles and all that.
I am wondering if you can tell me what it is like in Malaysia....is it cheap to get by? Can I get by only knowing English? Are there lots of beautiful scenic spots and temples and things like that? Also you've seen my gallery and you know that I normally shoot lots of fashion & art nudes, would it be very hard to find models in Malaysia that would be prepared to pose for art nudes? It's just that I know a lot of Asian countries are suppossed to still be very traditional and wouldn't think of such things...
It would be really great if you could give me some of this info.
Thanks again for the great explanation of how you got this shot!

Thanks all for visit my gallery again...
Taken by Nikon 300 mm lens but camera
body was Fuji S2-Pro.
...mistake done is I selected Jpeg Low file during
shots instead of using Higher file....
Now my print able to enlarge around 12 x 8 inch only...
This is a kind of bird that found around padi field swamp
near my Penang Island airport area....
Need continues shuttle mode to get different action.
Single shots is not enchourage for such kind of photography.
