Description Here we've got a bunch of Ornithomimus looking for mating partners. Inspired by the Chinese Crane (or Japanese, idk what the damn name is).
Tadaa!

This looks really nice! I love the designs of the Ornithomimus, especially the male's coloration. The lighting is wonderful. Also I like the touch of the other Ornithomimuses being hazy since their out of focus.

you say that and it sounds like you don't know birds are dinosaurs. Is this so?

GetTheCrapOfMe In reply to Wyatt-Andrews-Art [2016-06-23 22:07:19 +0000 UTC]

...no, I'm saying I know birds that look similar.

And yes, I am aware of this theory.

It aint no theory my boy, that would be like saying "elephants are mammals is just a theory".

I do not wish to argue, mate. However, I ask you to respect the fact I do not believe in such ideas. I will say this: Living organisms are too complex to be formed gradually by small changes over many generations. - A Beka Book--Science: Earth and Space.

i think it's actually a pelecanimimus, cause of the throat pouch.

Aquaraptor1304 In reply to Teurboa [2015-10-05 01:49:32 +0000 UTC]

Not all pelicanimimus need to have a throat pouch. That's just how portrayed in media.

And why did the male ostrich dinosaurs do get these air sacs in their throat? Does that used that like Frigate birds do today?

I think it is the Japanese Crane you are referring to. And the Males actually don't use throat pouches to attract females like some other species of birds do. Instead, Japanese Cranes (or Red-Crowned Cranes as they are sometimes called) perform a courtship dance and even mate for life.

Here's a vid. if you don't believe me: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8qprO…

I wonder, would Dinosaurs have courtship dances as well?

FredtheDinosaurman In reply to Strikerprime [2015-04-02 21:53:56 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for the clarification, and I know the Cranes mentioned dont have throat pouches, that was taken from a Frigate bird.

Strikerprime In reply to FredtheDinosaurman [2015-04-02 22:51:16 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I figured it had to be a Frigate Bird. That's what I was thinking of when I first saw this. XP

I'd can't say they didn't. Unfortunately, we may never know exactly what MOVES they did. Nothing like that is found in fossils... or at least yet.
