Description
This is something I wanted to finish ever since I had the bottom section done, but I just couldn't find the right tree for a long time. Well I found the right tree, with a nice angry sky. The sky though I'm still not totally pleased with, but there not much I could do about it.Related content

Is that a reflection of the tree, when it's older? Or is it the roots, to show it is growing into the Earth. I like both views.

This just commands attention! The choice of greens and yellows is perfect. Seems to indicate growth, and the reflection is the smaller tree when it grows up to be bigger, stronger. Very bold - very nice!

I love this picture, I can't see what you don't like about the sky...it may not be how you intended it to be but be sure that it looks spectacular!
The colors are great and the idea is just...wow...Great idea...I'm finding it hard to find the words I need inorder to express myself

Hmm i don't really like how the bottom tree is different from the top tree. I see this as a relection and when the trees don't match, it throws me off. I really like the vibrant green sky though. I think the top image is strong enough to stand on it's own. The bottom half of the image is kind of a waste. And can't you think of a better way to merge the two halfs together so we didn't see the big black line going through the middle of the picture?

Wow, this is a great piece. The concept is brilliant. I do't think I've seen anything else quite like it around DA, so far. I think it turned out great! The sky works good.

I must say I'm wondering why you aren't pleased with the sky. I love the concept of this. Relfections showing something different than the original, or at least most of the times. Sometimes they're just showing pieces that you didn't see. This looks more like a 'pay attention to the reflection', although I can see the reflection in this isn't the original

Its probably due to the fact that I have seen what the sky did and could have looked like rather than what it does look like.

wow, this is definetly an amzing peice. The colors are amazing and vibrant, very eye catching. I wouldn't have used such a big black space in the middle, not that it effects the peice a great deal just seems to be a bit too wide. I also assumed the bottom section was under the ground like the roots? If so it's very well done however maybe their a bit too overdone since it's a small tree, not a problem just something i noticed that could improve it. Definetly a fav keep up the good work.

Thanks, they are suppose to be roots. the black in the middle is kinda the soil. but I see what you mean, though I'd have to put something there as a smaller black would be too unnatural, not that it's not already.

To be 100% honest, I originally thought it was going to be one of my best, but when I couldn't find the right top tree to compliment, I had doubts.
And after I finished this one, I still had doubts and I still don't know why so many people like this above many others. Maybe they are telling me to go green lol.

A DD might be a nice thing, but there's plenty more others that do really deserve it more than this one, not meaning to sound chliched.

Perfect color choice for either intrepretation. That green either gives a very "full of life" vibrant feel to go with the deep roots concept....or...it's a very surreal dream-like (almost uncomfortable...?) color for the reflection idea.
