Lovely work...your clarity in this is beautiful: I love being able to see every ripple in the clouds all the way back. The sharpness just adds to the beauty of this photo. Your framing is also well done...nothing all out of balance or anything: just perfectly captured. I especially like how you left the bottom section where all of the dark shadows are: gives this a nice feel. Very beautiful work!

Gorgeous photo, especially the way you've captured the light coming off the underside of the clouds. I like the buildings and trees left as silhouettes, so they don't detract from those amazing colours in the sky. No real criticism; I think its already been mentioned that maybe vertical would have been better than horizontal.

Out of your bedroom, huh? Where do you live, heaven? Again, your saturation is aces, and the clouds are the best iv'e seen in months perhaps. Perfect framing.

Perhaps I live in heaven, the sky here's always very nice.

Thanks for the comment

That is the coolest cloud I've ever seen, and we get some doozies out here in Missouri when tornado season comes along. Good composition with strong lines.

Lovely scene. I would have realy done this a vertical oriented shot rather than a wide as it stands and not centered.
Excelent colours.

Thanks, I couldn't fit the clouds in in vertical format, I don't normally go for the horizontal, but decided to this time/

probably it's been said before - those clouds look like a street and it reminds me of this theory of Platon that experience is a priori (which means we have seen the real things - ideas he calles them - before our birth when the souls are in the chariot of the gods who drive across the sky at the edge of the universe)
now, those clouds seem to be the traces of this chariot... *lol* I should go to bed now, it's late/early enough
anyway - great pic

no problem - it's strange how I start to annoy people with telling them things they didn't want to know at all..... but hey, that's what happens to everyone who's in the middle of Matura (graduation) *lol* --> Platon's my specialsubject in Philosophy/Psychology

nordstrom [2005-05-20 12:26:54 +0000 UTC]

Nice capture of a very dynamic sky. I'm not too bothered about the house, but I do feel that the backdrop is perhaps a bit too underexposed. I realise that metering for the trees would have overexposed the sky, but you can overcome that by using filters, to bring out just that little bit of extra detail. As it stands, the lower right-hand side in particular is not easily distinguished from the darker part of the sky around it.

FreddyC In reply to nordstrom [2005-05-20 15:34:36 +0000 UTC]

Very true on the lower right, I do have ND grad filters, but I went fro a silhouetter instead.

that's a weird light came from the right...looks like batman signal...hehe...ok serious now...there are some light explosion at the white spot (the lighter portion of the cloud) but it's no biggy...i have kind of a mix feeling about this picture...like it's not soft enough to consider to be a soft sky and it's not rough enough...u know what i mean?? yeah so i can't really critique on anything else since it's nature and it's a one moment shot...maybe try to avoid that house and capture only trees...that's all...aaa don't kill mehhh...

heh, i love it when people give me good pohots to comment them, and i usually have nothing to say about good photos, i just fav them Since i like them, i dont see what i would have to say, lol, but here we go, im gonna try: the clouds shape is wonderful, like a tornado, the contrast of the photo is also very good, the colors are lovely, the black silhouetts are very nice - maybe i would have preffered only the trees, and no house, but its fine anyway- Great job,
