How did you put the orange on the blue I wonder? After all, when added together most of the time they end up making brown. Oh and yes like the others said your anatomy is amazing.

You use Fixative. Every time you have a layer done, just spray Fixative
On it and let it dry. Then you can add more pastel.
It works on drawings sometimes too. Depends on the application though.

I guess that works, but because of my lack of patience I probably would've done some other but apparently more complicated way.

You should try fixative.
You use it like spray paint.
It is kind of like a transparent paint.

I feel like it would have the same effect as laminating it, minus the point that if you laminated it you wouldn't really be able to paint it over would you?

Nah. You can't tell it is there by looking.
In fact it is good to use on all your drawings.
Anything that smears when being moved around,

True, I understand the smearing part at least.

Yeah, I would, because I truly don't understand oil paintings too well

It is really complicated
As far as art goes. At least
If you get into all the various
Techniques and styles over the centuries.

With so many variations of art,
We could only wish that they we'll experience all of them.

It is crazy. I was just watching this Chinese brush art video on YouTube.
They use ink on brushes. I was like "geez, I haven't even thought of that."
I mean, I use ink pens with brush tips, but that is different.

Oh I've done that! It's quite an experience. It's complicated for a while but once you get the hang of it it's really wonderful. Did you know the reason they leave mountain and such blank is because they believed we will never know everything about the earth?

I didn't know that. That makes sense though because so much of the art is infused with philosophy and religion and tradition.

I think that was very wise of the Chinese, because we really won't ever know everything about the world.
