Haha
Thanks! This has just been such a great week for macro, we keep getting these fronts that move through, which cause all the insects to be slow Plus it's not blazing hot, so I spend a lot of time outside

I thought about that, but I think I'll save that title for a better shot Plus, a title such as that could apply to many subjects

Beautiful colors and composition!

I still can't believe that you can get these kinds of shots with a point and shoot.

without taking any of his talent away, I'd say it is much easier to do this kind of shot with a point and shoot than with a reflex and a macro lens. SLRs aren't there to make things EASIER they are there to make them sharper and to respond quicker.

And for the owner of this picture, nice shot!! You really compose every single shot with attention to detail. I don't comment much, but I'm always watching your new stuff. Keep up the good work.

well that's true because with a point and shoot, most macro shots are sharp and have good focus without the use of a tripod,
but then again, the quality is totally different. what shocks me in billyunderscorebwa's photos, is that even though he uses a point and shoot, his pictures still have a lot of quality, and i'm sure that has to involve skill

Ahh I completely understand, and I couldn't agree more. That's why I love my camera, it's the size of a deck of cards so I can take it anywhere I want, and it's possible to take photos anytime It's auto-focus, so you don't have to take any time to focus on your subject, just... well, point and shoot You wouldn't believe how much I would like an SLR though. My lens is so small, nearly all long exposures come out over exposed. And 7.1 mpx is great, but hey the sharper the better right?
And did you say that SLRs respond quicker? Man I could use that for my lightning shots

... and thanks! I've been developing a better taste in composition, if you go back earlier in my gallery, you'll notice my subjects are often centered and from a head-on perspective I'm glad I'm improving, and I'll try my best to keep it up

Thanks for watching,

Hi. Sorry for my slow answer, I'm busy as hell lately. I just want to start off by destroying a Myth: more megapixels WON'T get you sharper pictures. A better lens would. My first macro picture is sharp as hell and it has been shot with a 6.3mp SLR.
And yeah, a SLR respond WAY faster than a SLR. I work in the second bigges photostore in Canada, so if you have any technical question about cameras and shit.. well, ask my friend.
Keep on the good work!
