Description Made for ManipulateThis Chimera Challenge entering to the level 3.

Late Finnish zoologist and adventurerer Hilja Hempea met this strange animal guarding on the ruins of an ancient city somewhere in Kenia in 1928. Brave woman sneeked close the beast and succeeded shoot one pic before the film run out. Nobody has seen the animal since, nor the ruined city. There has been depate about the authenticity of the photo. But there are still those who believe it is a genuine one.

This one really caught my eye. The image and colors first, then I could see part of the impact was the way you aged it. Love the treatment/framing you put on it to reinforce the vintage reality-mystical feeling.

I'm glad you made a reply. I came back over and then realized I forot to snag if for my fave gallery. I will enjoy looking at it. Sometimes I just set up the sitback feature and watch my favorite art like it was a wonderful movie, but better.

After a time I had to set up folders for different kinds of art. This is a wonderland of amazing creativity, and my interests are all over the many different genres.

I read your comments so I know that isn't who your lion is, but Aslan is one of my favorites. You did a good job with the manipulation of putting the different animals together with enough subtle flair that it comes across. I like the beams of light too. Reality/Mythology are both strong in this one, which is part of what makes it a fave for me. [and fits the story behind it]

Is it me or is that a lion crossed with a ram? Awesome, by the way!

Hi!

This is a really awesome manip! Love the concept and love the execution! Making it a photograph that actually looks like an early 1900s photograph is a great addition.

I have only two comments/suggestions for this piece:

-First, the wings. The wings look out of place compared to the rest of the picture. I would suggest using more 'solid' wings - probably feathered wings. Fiery wings look out of place.

-Second. The roots of the tree look great, except the one that extends underneath the creature's body. I'm not sure if this was intentional but it looks...wrong

Once again this is a fantastic manip. I apologize if I sounded harsh or offending.

Good luck in the Challenge!
Dan

Thank you for comments. You have point, I agree. And the root..Oh, my.. it looks..mm..odd. I must do something to it right now!

Thank you Dan!

No problem

Ya...I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not (kinda hoped it wasn't)
