Its my deertaur woman, Ava! But you can't see her deerparts.
I'm trying to practice human facial structure and rendering skin and such. Critique very welcome, tell me what you think.

awesome character! I just had to check out her deer-like bodyparts as soon as I read she is a deer-centaur! Is she part of a story or something?
I really like her look, with all the piercings and bold make-up! I'd love to see more of her! She has a great smile - though I am not sure if I would call it a smirk - A little smirk maybe... She is smiling with both corners of her mouth, you see. A smirk pulls up only one corner. but hey, it looks good on her, I wouldn't change it
Something you can focus on is a clearer source of light - based on what I've seen in your gallery, I know you can work with light already. With more light, you an play around more with skin tones and such, and I think it makes the pic more interesting to look at

She isn't part of a story really, just came from a friend and I brainstorming some ideas. I'm glad you like her design though.
I see what you mean about the light source, its kind of all over haha. Do you have any ideas for what would be a more complimentary colour to use as a backdrop? If I remember right I had the red from the beginning because I wanted her skin to have a red undertone, but that doesn't mean I should have kept it necessarily.

ahh, too bad - she looks like a lot of effort has been put in her, which is usually only the case for characters that are part of a story or something.
ohh, that's a difficult one. You could go for a strong contrast and pick something green, but I rather like the warm colours the pic has now... Maybe keep this red tone, but a bit less saturated? I'm not sure, this is something I can only figure out by just trying stuff out, and see what matches well with the colour of her shirt/eyelashes.

Nah, I'm not much of a writer. I just emjoy designing characters sometimes for fun.
