Oh that makes more sense, maybe, her being the first, but I really thought it was a man, and when I look at it now it still looks like a man to me. But maybe that's just me projecting on your drawing ;D

I am actually quite sure the inspiration for it comes from a front page illustration of Tove Jansson's autobiography, made by Jansson herself. It depicts a little girl in front of a stormy sea (the picture otherwise bears nor resemblance with what you see above) and the outer shape of the figure looks at least a tiny little bit like a creature from the Moomin Valley like Tooticki. And I could come up with worse people to have as my ancestor than Tooticki.
