To The Evening Star
Thou fair-hair'd angel of the evening,
Now, while the sun rests on the mountains, light
Thy bright torch of love; thy radiant crown
Put on, and smile upon our evening bed!
Smile on our loves; and, while thou drawest the
Blue curtains of the sky, scatter thy silver dew
On every flower that shuts its sweet eyes
In timely sleep. Let thy west wind sleep on
The lake; speak silence with thy glimmering eyes,
And wash the dusk with silver. Soon, full soon,
Dost thou withdraw; then the wolf rages wide,
And the lion glares thro' the dun forest:
The fleeces of our flocks are cover'd with
Thy sacred dew: protect them with thine influence.
- William Blake (1757-1827)
This beautiful poem is in the public domain.
My fractal was made using Apophysis 2.06c 3D. It is a fractal manipulation.
If you happen to have a pair of red/cyan 3D glasses handy, this fractal will look even more shimmery seen through them. It isn't a 3D fractal, though.

I wish I could write like that! But then, Blake couldn't make fractals...

Yes. We read this kind of poetry in high school. I thought it was okay, back then, but I wasn't a huge fan. Now I am!

Ah! I think the frame is at least somewhat better now.

Thank you! I'm just "flying by" here. I think I need to make an adjustment in the frame (or does it look right to you)? Isn't the poem amazing? I'm going to read some more poems by him, for sure.
