Description Time for some ooold pics - I had these scanned not long before my computer crashed, and of course lost them all XP Now I've re-scanned most of them, so here you go ^^

This was a series inspired by Talen swanning around on /co/ on 4chan, and eventually asking me what I would do if I had control of an "Ultimates" style version of the Sonic series - you know, the ones where they give the series a continuity enema and everything is great*. I started with Bunnie, because her design was one of the ones that suffered most from the cartoony SatAM style, and went from there. Her robot bits took me ages - maybe I'll redraw her later and pay more attention to the mecha bits - but for now I think this gets the point across ^^

(*For like, five issues.)

I really like this pic, especialy the robotics (believe me, if I did it, it would have taken longer than ages), I think you did a really good job and I love the eyes!!!!!=^___^= FAVE!!!

I faved this a long time ago, and I finally felt I should comment on it. The eyepatch is a nice touch, and adds to the "disfigured, yet beautiful" theme that is part of Bunnie's personality. I like how you kept the robotic parts somewhat bulky, because the disproportionate build is also a vital part of the character. Finally, her good eye seems to have a somewhat pained look, and it makes her seem to be pleading for acceptance. It always bothered me that this didn't come up more in the comics. Despite the fact that Bunnie has her circle of friends in the Freedom Fighters, there had to have been plenty more who feared or even outright hated her. Seeing her actually overcome such a conflict would have made for a wonderful subplot.
All in all, I think you not only captured the essence of Bunnie perfectly in this pic, but you actually improved upon it. Nicely done, and I hope to see even more of your "Ultimate Sonic" works.

I must agree... I missed Bunnie's origin story back in the beginning, and I was really excited when it was reprinted in the Sonic Firsts special. But then... ugh. I didn't realise how simplistic the comics were back then. I mean, it's kind of cool that she didn't let it get to her, but to go from "holy crap I have been accosted and mutilated into a half-robot monster" to "hi I'm perky and badass and completely aware of every awesome ability I've just gained, and don't mind that half of me is now artificial" in one scene... blech.

If I ever actually made this Ultimate Sonic series, mark my words, Bunnie would actually have some realistic emotional reactions to what happened to her. She'd get over them because she's a strong character who can grow and develop... but she would at least have them to begin with XP

And the idea of people seriously fearing her because of her abilities... what a great subplot that would have been! What a depth it would have given her relationship with Antione, a character whose defining trait is cowardice! But no, the closest they came was a horribly ill-conceived "it was alll a bad dream" story with no lasting impact. Yuck! XP

Wow. I hadn't even considered the spin that would have put on Antoine's relationship with her. I think that one of the things that would have helped bring them together is the fact that neither one of them seemed to "fit in" with the others. Bunnie is so strong that she could accidentally break someone in half by patting them on the back. Antoine looks and acts like a soldier, but when the battle starts, he's really not any help. I honestly think that Antoine was never afraid of the battle itself, but of the idea that he would disappoint others, so he never tried because that's what he feared most. That aspect of being the "outsiders" would probably have drawn them together.

Hrrmm... I like where you're going, but I think you need to work on the anatomy some, to get the animalistic bits looking like they're really part of the character and a bit less tacked-on. The posing is also a little awkward - it seems like they were made from a template? - but that just takes practice ^^

I've also never liked uber-human-shaped faces on furries, but that's a personal-opinion thing ^_^;

More like Ultimate Nick Furry.

Seriously though, that's an alright pic... but what is with the eye-patch?

A pun on Nick Fury from Marvel comics, who happens to have an eye patch... and Ultimate universe Fury just lost an arm.

And I just figured it was weird giving her an eye-patch when she already lost her legs and arm, though if she had a bionic eye that'd be pretty sweet.

Ahh, I see XD I'm not much for the Marvelverse aside from Evolution, so I'm not up on most of their characters

That's kinsa why the eyepatch made sense to me, I guess - she has this whole "messed up on one side of her body" thing happening, so I figured it'd be appropriate for the eye to follow suit. Well, and the hotness
