Description So I've been struggling on & off with digital, and airbrushing in adobe is one of my biggest struggles. if anyone does airbrushing they know how time consuming it can be and frustrating. If anything her hair bothers me, and I focused too much on her eye because I believe the eyes are the windows to the soul, I needed her desire to come thru, and wanted her to look dreamy, you know...thinking about boys or something like that. There were days this looked like crap to me and i did try to make more of a background at first but it blew up in my face so I just blacked it all out, and today I love it. My inspiration is life, the people I meet and interact with, my emotions and music.

Ultimately the feeling behind this piece is simple: I want to love. I swear i'm catching the "Love bug" I'm nearly obsessed with someone, I want them so much and I'm not sure if it's just lust, i'm not extremely lonely, i'm most of the time content doin my own little thing so it isn't lonliness... is there a lust bug??? This person makes my legs shake, i literally get weak in the knees sometimes when they've never even physically touched me, this has never happened to me before, what do I call this feeling, maybe I don't care, I just embrace it and enjoy it...desperately want more of it.

The "lost in love" look on her face is great.

I love the hue of red you used for the trail on the love bug. It's obvious that the artwork its self is beautiful in nature... I'm speaking of the girl of course.

And it's only enhanced by the overall surreal feeling given off by those red little hearts... floating around her.

This is fantastic- definitely one of the best pieces you've done.
The emotion in her face and expressed in her pose and the way she's holding her head in her hands is amazing. Even looking at the thumbnail I got a sense of how dreamy she was feeling.
In terms of realism, she looks stunningly realistic- soft and fluid enough to be capable of movement and expression, but concrete enough to be imaginable as a real individual.
You say you had issues with the hair but I think you did a great job on it. It looks so soft (yet again) and really compliments the same qualities in her face and skin.
The bug looks wonderful as well- I love how it glows, like it's lit up with her feelings. The heart trail that follows it look great as well, and adds a bit of stylism to the piece.

For some reason this reminded me of the little girl in the most recent Zelda game. Its the little side mission to collect all the bugs for her cause she's obsessed with bugs and she gives you stuff. But yea anyways.. i love the eye reflections.
