Description
I don’t know if I blinked or just zoned out, but I didn’t even see her move toward the lens. She was just…there. One second she was in the distance and the next she was right in front of the ROV. Like right in front. My brain is still trying to force itself out of whatever...lock...it's in. Jamie looks like his jaw is gonna break off. She looks so fucking scary, but I can't help but notice how beautiful she looks. Despite the fact her eyes are mostly pits, I can still see two blue dots in them.
This girl, whoever she was, was first class. I know it. Her clothes were a dead giveaway.
She was rich. Not that wealth would’ve saved her in the end.
The only sound in the control room when she looked at us was Jamie drinking from his cup of root beer that he had away from the console. I think he was trying to calm himself.
I had no idea if we should try saying something. Fuck, if ghosts exist, who knows, she might just hear us. But I thought better of it. Two shocks were enough. If she said something back that we could somehow hear, I might have had a goddamn heart attack.
All the while, she’s looking over the ROV from multiple angles. She first moves up a bit and then downward. Then she moves from left to right.
If I had to guess, she was trying to figure out what just came into her territory or whatever. After about two minutes, we decided to bring the ROV out of the room in order to check out other parts of the ship we didn’t get to last time.
And she followed it. Slowly and silently, but she was moving right alongside it.
At that point, we thought ‘whatever, let her do it.’
