i don't belive this was taken on the real Mary King's close, the underground city
that's probably the close that has the same name and it's somewhere near The Royal Mile or smth like that

wunderschönes bild, wirklich. ich liebe den glanz des nassen pflasters und wie das licht im himmel so hell ist, das es scheint als wolle es alles "aufsaugen". hübscher kontrast mit der dunklen gasse

Die Stimmung in der Gasse war zu diesem Zeitpunkt auch wie auf dem Bild. Dadurch, dass es den ganzen Tag geregnet hat waren die Straßen recht leer... .
