Purple, purple and more purple. Amethyst is such a good character. Not very well known to some comic fans, she's a bit of an obscure character to the DC franchises and is the lost princess of Gemworld. I recommend you read a little about her -- you'll like her too and working with some legendary pencils like caananwhite 's was a treat. Anyways, feedback and comments are always welcome!

I remember her well, though i never got to read the original mini-series i collected the monthly series that came after, The consensus at the time was it was inferior to the mini-series but i can't judge since i never got my hands on the original, I like the series and i think of Amy and her adventures on Gemworld beg to be translated to the big screen! PLENTY of heartbreak and drama to be found there, it MUST be filmed in the old Technicolor style to bring out the awesome brilliance of the Gemworld! A modern day "Wizard of Oz," is how i view this classic series, A bit more grown up though and before i forget....Most Excellent artwork!

How could she be obscure? It's not like I have the original maxi-series available to read whenever I want.
I still get a chuckle over the anime/manga fans who say that Sailor Moon started the genre before I point out that Amethyst came out before that series started, and did a lot of the same things.
