Description Laying out a few diecasts as gifts, amongst tissue paper, I got the uninspired idea to unbox 'em and make it look like an impromptu gathering of gearhead friends in upstate Frostbite Falls or something. Criticism, schmiticism, I know this isn't high art, but the thought of a '70 Hemi 'Cuda, a '66 Chevelle SS396, a '70 Boss 302 (which was treated to a fair amount of extra detailing!), a '65 El Camino and an '04 Wrangler Rubicon just looked cool in all that tissue paper. As we ALL are about to get T-Boned by Christmas once again way too dadgummed early, no special care was taken at all with the fake snowpaper, with the exception of one small piece of tape. We're high tech, aren't we? At least there's High-Class-Hoopty-Rides in abundance, even if the scale IS a bit too small.

I wish you all peace, good health, love and understanding this Christmas! Here's hoping that YOUR news is GOOD news!

Hahahaaa!!!
Yeah, go ahead!!! Actually, I think the next time, I am going to actually unscrew them from their shipping mounts, and throw down a white cotton blanket, so everything is uniform. THEN, take smaller scale diecasts and place them strategically so they look like they're parked farther away. That way, I can get 'em all in the shot!

Seeing how you're a "C"-Body enthusiast, keep your eyes open for Promotional Models made by a company called "Jo-Han". These are done from original Chrysler Corporation blueprints, and the detail is incredible! If you look closely enough, you can even see they used the correct FONT on the dashboard guages!!! They did promo models for dealership give-away prizes throughout the Fifties, Sixties and most of the Seventies. They are rare now, there is currently the beginnings of a push to refurbish and re-open the Jo-Han Factory, and there are actually artisans working right now in refurbishing or re-creating the molds for the models.

Hey, best of luck to ya with your Fury (what a cool name for a car!), and here's to an excellent Christmas and New Year's holidays for you!

Jo-Han had incredible detail to their stuff! If you ever see one in an antiques store, check it out! You'll probably need a Jeweler's Loupe to see this, but even the letters and numbers on the dash guages have the correct FONTS! Unbelievable!

Speaking of unbelievable, I am going to have to start savin' up, now!!! Have you seen THIS?????:

It even has a "Slap-Stick" shifter!!! I hope they sell a 4.7v8 version with a 6-speed. It'd be like the '70/'71 340 4-speed, which was plenty potent, handled wonderfully, and still got 18mpg if you drove it easy.

Thats so cool i've never heard of Jo-Han before, but im gona keep my eyes open. It sure would be neat if they did start to reproduce those, i'd sure buy em! Ive always liked replica models the most.

Thanks im gona need all the luck i can get, as it is the Fury is on "hiatus" until i can get my stuff straight.

Yes! Yes, they are!!! Thanks!!! It would have looked cool with a '65 Aston Martin DB5, a red '67 Stingray, a jet black '68 Charger, and a metallic green '68 GT390 Mustang G/T included in there! I hope you have a great Christmas! Thanks again!!!

Actually, I had just purchased them a little while ago, in anticipation of Christmas. They are vehicles some of my friends think are the best. That "Plum Crazy" 1970 Hemi-'Cuda is actually a gift I received early! I didn't paint any of them, just did up all the details they ignored (which were a lot!!!). The one I did the most work on was the Green 1970 Mustang Boss 302. That was for Carl, which worked out well, because it turns out that he actually got ME a 1969 383 Fastback 'Cuda diecast! They looked kind of neat in the middle of all that paper, though.
