Oh my god she is so GORGEOUS! And adorable as heck! I love Blue Border Collies! They may even replace Shepherds as my favorite breed! I had a strange, out of the blue dream about a Blue Border Collie puppy and I wasn't even thinking about them!

What a rediculously cute animal! Merles are the absolute cutest!
Of course, I may be bias, since y border collie/jack russel cross is amerle, lol!
Have you read that new study that says merles are more likely to be deaf- expecially is their mother's are merle and/or deaf? Makes me glad my dog's dad was the merle!

Yeah. Sadly, with merle becoming trendier in the petshops, the mills are doing more merle to merle breeding which is a HUGE no-no. That's where you get the lethal white crap popping up and stuff. No worries on Ms. Ice. She ca definitely hear, lol. And her lineage is excellent and free of health problems. I do like blue merles, but I much prefer red merle. ^_^

Before Matrix (my border jack), we had a border collie who was merle, too. But we had to put him down beacuse of heart defects associated with the double merle gene. He only had a three chambered heart.
I know- I work in the pet shop industry, (though my store does not sell dogs/cat/large birds) and I've been noticing a lot more "deleterious" genes causing problems. Like the merle, the white and the "blue" or grey gene. So terribly sad- concientious breeding would certainly help!

I've got three dogs. 2 border collies and an Aussie. And I should be getting another Aussie puppy in a month of two. If you stumble across the deviation"Fire", that's him

She is probably one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen aside from a tiny newborn pup. ^__^

Thanks!! I have some of her newborn pics.... My mum and I call them her "guinea pig pictures". Have you ever noticed that most newborn puppies look like guinea pigs until they're three or four weeks old? Lol
