:Story:

Outside the college gates, two girls lay on the grass looking up at the clouds.

"I can’t believe that stuck up Ms. Howler threw us out of class. It’s like she thinks weed is evil or something!" The

Afghan hound by the name of Luna mutters, as she adjusts her circular glasses.

"Yeah! Like, someone should totally teach her a lesson for once. See how she likes being told what to do!" Her friend

Sunstar, a ginger cat, responds.

"She’s only stuck up because she’s part of the system, she doesn’t know what true freedom really is. I bet she’s never

cracked a smile in her life. But we’re not going to become part of the machine; we’re way too out there! Isn’t that

right, sistah?"

"Yeah, like, we should totally show her how awesome it is to be free of those corporate chains. She needs to realize

they’re, like, stopping her from reaching her true spiritual potential. You know?"

"I’m soooo with you on that. You’re so smart!”- she exclaimed, her eyes wide-“ How about we go back in after her class

and show her how things really are. Once we show her the truth about her shackles, it will, like, completely blow her

mind! She’ll never be the same!"

“And another will join the righteous cause!”

“And then we’ll get good grades!”-the dog squealed.

“That too. But this is for her own good!”-her friend stressed.

The two wait a couple of hours for the other students to leave the classrooms before walking back into the building,

giggling about the plans they have made for their math teacher.

Sunstar glances into the classroom through the keyhole and confirms to her friend that Ms. Howler is still sitting at

her desk, writing something on her notes while sipping her tea.

"Look at her! She’s writing something. She’s probably taking note of our expulsion! She thinks she can just get rid of

us like, just like that!"

The Afghan peeps into the classroom as well- "Look over there, she still has the weed she stole from us... I bet she’s

going to roll a fat joint all to herself, the greedy bitch! Ok, I’ll, maybe, keep an eye on her here while you fetch

the ropes from the gym storage round the corner."

"Gotcha."

Sunstar quickly darts to the storage room and fetches some rope and some string.

"What’s the string for?" Luna inquires.

"Oh, I just couldn’t resist taking it. It was all wiggly, and stringy, and fun! and it wants me to bite it...!”-she

stops her ramblings as soon as she realizes she had started yelling. But it is too late. From the room, the sound of a

chair dragging across the floor is heard, followed by quick steps in their direction-“ Oh crap, I think she heard us!"

“Quick, do something!”

As Ms .Howler opens the door she’s immediately pounced and pushed face down to the floor by the quick pair. "What is

the meaning of this?! What the bloody hell are you two still doing here?”

"Quick, tie her hands. I got the keys for the door."-Sunstar throws the keys to her friend as she keeps their teacher

grounded.

After successfully locking themselves in the classroom, the two girls sit Ms. Howler down on a chair and tie her to it.

"What is going through your minds?! You’ll get expelled for this!"

"Woo, that means we don’t have to do what you say anymore, doesn’t it?" -Luna shoots back as she takes the weed off the

desk and offers half to her friend- "I got a light here."

The two take in a deep toke and blow the smoke back out into Ms. Howlers face, causing her to cough a little.

"Untie me this instant!"-she demanded

"We don’t have to do what you say, remember?” –Sunstar claims, defiant –“You don’t control us anymore. You’re the one

being controlled. You should learn to relax a little…. like us! Here, put your feet up." -the cat explains as she lifts

Ms. Howler’s feet and rests them a chair she had placed facing her -"There, isn’t that, like, so much better?... Whoa,

I, umm, that weed’s a goooood batch."- Sunstar comments, as a sly smile takes over her lips and she lazily sits on Ms.

Howler’s legs.

Ms. Howler, always worried about her student’s sakes, keeps trying to reason with them.

"I can’t believe you girls are getting high again.”- she sounds disappointed-“ And now you’ve turned to kidnapping!

This is no longer a matter of banning you from collage... the police will get involved!"
The Afgans eyelids droop a little- "Wha... What’s she on about the pol.. police now?.. all we’re doing is having a bit

of fun?.. Are you not having a bit of fun, Ms Howler? I know what will put a smile on that unhappy face of yours!”

Luna pulls a feather from her head band and uses its quill to run along Ms. Howler’s toes.

"Agha!" she giggles and jolts a little, which disturbs the cat on her lap.

"Heeeeeey, that’s interesting!"

She gets up and walks up to the bound feet, giving them a tentative scratch.

“Yi-ih! Stop that, girls.”

“Fascination.”-the feline declares.

“W…”- Luna pauses for a moment, looking at her teacher-“…what?”

“I’ve never seen her smile like that like... ever before"- Sunstar then proceeds to scratch the center of her left

pawpad, causing her to laugh out loud.

“But why is it, umm, fascinater?”

“It’s simple. If happy people laugh, then laughing people are happy, right?”

“How so?”

“Well, we’re, like, always happy… and we’re always giggling!”-she finished with a beaming smile
“Oh, yeah!”-her muzzle lit up.

The two now clearly under the full effects of the drug proceeded to giggle like schoolgirls for five minutes, while Ms.

Howler looks on, dumbfounded.

“Heeheeheehee, he he… but what of it?”-Luna inquired.

“Ah…”-Sunstar tried to regain her line of thought –“ If… people who are happy laugh, then… people who laugh.. are

happy!” –she concluded with a victorious smile.

“But she only laughs when we’re tickling.” –Luna sounds sad –“Whenever we stop, she goes back to being unhappy, and

mean, and mad and teaching and giving me bad grades!”

“Oh… you’re totally right. We need to make it more, whatchamacallit, permabent.”

“You want to give her a haircut”

“No, you silly dog, you!”- Sunstar laughs-“We just need to teach HER how to laugh!”

“And give her bad grades!”

“No!”- she hisses-“We want her to pass!”

“Oh riiiight.”- Luna looks at her hazily for a second-“But how do we do it?”

Sunstar looks at Ms. Howler.

And Ms. Howler looks at Sunstar.

And Sunstar looks at Luna.

And Luna looks at Sunstar.

They keep staring at each other, while there teacher observes her two students, not daring to make even a sound, lest

they unfreeze. She dreaded what was coming up next. A proper lady should never find herself in a situation like this.

“We just keep making her laugh…” –Sunstar suddenly pipes up. She moves to the board and draws an equation: paw +

feather = ? –“…until she can do it.. on… her…. own.”- she finishes by drawing a laughing canine face.

“I dunno. Are you sure about your thesis?”- Her parter in crime sounding skeptical.

“Of course! It be making the mathemological sense. Ready for the first lesson?”

“Aye aye, Capt’n!”

“No! Girls, please!”- Ms. Howler resorts to begging –“Look, we can think of something else!”

“You’re right…”-Luna says.

“I a.. Yes, I am!”

“Just the feet won’t do! We have little time!”- the cat sounds distressed.
“Oh no…”

“We need to find every single one of your, like, tickly bits!”

“No, girls, don’t, please, you don’t need to yiiiiip!”-she’s interrupted as Sunstar grabs her hip

“Better make myself comfy!”-the feline says as she sits on her legs again, this time occupying herself with massaging

the teacher’s ribs.

"NO, DON’T!" -the helpless teacher calls out.

Luna ignores her pleading and strokes the tip of the feather up and down her arches.

"Nahahh ohh noo."

"Her toes are like little birds, flying everywehere. Give me that bit of string you got, these little birdies won’t be

able to fly away from my feather, heehee."

"Here you go. Can you pass the Mary Jane?"

After taking a bit more for herself, Luna passes on the stash.

"Why do you think they call it Mary Jane... do you recon it’s because of Mary Jane Barkson? Spider-Mandrill was always

taking her high in the sky."

“I don’t read those comics. I’m more for that sexy Captain Americat. What can I say? Mee-ow!"

As they keep talking about inane subjects, the Afghan Hound Shrugs and proceeds to tickle Ms Howler without mercy,

raking the feathers quill between each of her toes and along the tops and bottoms of her feet.

“Nahahahaha, stohop!”

“…all those times my brother stole them…”

“Nya! NOT THERE!”

“…that chameleon was a wimp, but he was, like, the best boyfriend I’ve ever had, y’know?”

“Notmyknees! No-ot my-y kneeheeheehees! Ahahahaha!”

“…twinle twinkle, little toe! How I wonder how you toke!”

While Ms. Howler cackles in despair, Sunstar has an idea.

"Hey! I think we should, like, tick off how many minutes we can keep this up for!...To make her better, I mean."

“Great idea!”- Luna exclaims –“So everyone will know how to do this too! Then the whole world will be, like, full of

happiness and laughter.”

“Warn me when a minute has passed.”

Half-an-hour later, Sunstar chalks in the first mark.
