Description
At the War of the Best in Marineford, Luffy failed to save his brother, Ace. Luffy realized how powerless he was when compared to the powerful warriors that sailed the seas, be either Pirates or Marines. He accepted that it was his lack of strength that in part made it impossible to save Ace, and as if to remind him of that, he gained a big scar on his chest.
Two years later, so that what happened to Ace wouldn't happen to any of his crewmates, Luffy has become even more powerful, determined more than ever to fulfill his dream, while having all of his friend with him all of the way. Having his scar as a reminder of what he lost, and of what he's now determined to protect.
